About Me

I’m Rosie Newman, MA, LMHC, RPT-S™, founder of Seattle Play Therapy and Seattle Play Therapy Training Center, as well as an author, educator, and trainer. I believe growth happens from the inside out and that relationships are the foundation of healing.

I’m also the creator of the Child-Centered Documentation (CCD) framework and author of Play Therapy Documentation Essentials: A Child-Centered Approach to Case Conceptualization and Treatment Planning. My work helps therapists bridge child-centered clinical practice with treatment planning, documentation, and medical necessity—without losing the heart of the work.

In addition to clinical work and training, I teach graduate students at the University of Washington School of Social Work and Seattle University, supporting future therapists in connecting theory to real-world practice.

I'd love to hear from you!
